About Rena Colette

I am a Ventura County-based freelance photographer…and math professor. I know, I know, those two professions don't seem to go together, do they? Do they ever! There are so many settings on a camera that control the intake of light…and there is quite a strong mathematical relationship between how those settings are related to one another. I will spare you the details...
My mother was an oil painter and my Dad is a retired computer programmer - I come by my right/left/whole-brain thinking honestly! I'm fairly certain this brings a unique perspective to my photography. My mom taught me to oil paint as a young girl, which has helped refine my eye for composition and color. When I am editing photos, I artfully ensure attention is drawn to the most important details. My intention is to create consistently captivating photographs that are treasured for generations to come.
